Biography

I attended Hood College, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Art. I also attended The Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. I was in the Peace Corps, working with an artisan program in Ecuador. I returned to the U. S. and got my master’s degree in Art Therapy.

After marriage and my children were born, I moved to West Virginia. Here I have worked at Seneca Mental Health as an Art Therapist, and also in the Monroe County Schools with Behavior Disordered Students. I have sold my art work through Tamarack, submitting both sculptures and knitted bags.

I have worked for over 10 years making original dolls which I sold at The Greenbrier and other local shops. I have been an art teacher, working through Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg. I did Kids College, the After School program, Adult Classes in Sculpture and Creative Classrooms. I have also taught with the After School Program in Monroe County as well as in programs for kids with special needs.

Presently I am focusing on my photography and recently had a photo accepted at “Season of Colors” at Carnegie. I am still learning and always will be!
