About

Laurine Collins YatesWelcome to my website. I have put the phrase “just cast a pebble” as a reminder to myself (and others) that everything we do has consequences. All actions and thoughts have repercussions, whether it is a birth or a death, a tear or a smile, an earthquake or an earthworm – everything has meaning. Science tells us this, and our hearts know it.

My site is really a place for me to share my art work. I am an art therapist with a Master’s degree, and an art teacher, with many years experience at “freelance” teaching of children and adults. And I am an artist. I have taught summer programs, after school programs, adult education, special classes, behavior disordered kids, the privileged kids, 4-H camps, Creative Classrooms and more. I love to teach.

I also love to make art. I like different mediums and really enjoy the challenge of learning a new process. I like three- dimensional work, tactile, work-with-your-hands stuff. I also love photography. I hope you will enjoy looking over a few of the things I have created. Most of what I have made in the past has been sold. If you are interested in buying something, please let me know!

Blessings to all – Laurine C. Yates
